She began her career as a teacher after graduating from University of Louisiana Lafayette with a degree in elementary education. She earned a Juris Doctor law degree from the Southern University Law Center in 2007 and practiced law as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Louisiana. Now a full-time marketer and founder of Expound Publicity, a PR firm exclusively for authors. From lesson plans, to trial briefs, to content marketing, Alysson is well versed in the writing space. She holds a Master’s Degree in Arts Administration from the University of New Orleans and a Bachelor’s Degree in Performing Arts: Theatre from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Her training has taken her to stages and studios around the country, including the Broadway Evolved Educators' Workshop, Broadway Teachers Workshop in NYC, and the International Cabaret Conference at Yale University, where she studied under theatrical legends like Seth Rudetsky, Faith Prince, Neil Patrick Harris, and Audra McDonald.
